Coffee Table Books
As you can see from my sidebar, I love an inviting coffee table book. They exhilarate me! I also love decorating with books.

Other random finds
I found this hand of Buddha at Z Gallerie a while back, and I just couldn't say no.

I know, I know...this is...weird--very Jonathan Adler-esque. It took a while to grow on me, but I finally gave in. Kinda scary, though, huh?

So...
Twice every year, Tarje aka Target, has this great event they like to call the "Global Bazaar"...and I feel it's my civic duty to visit each time the shindig is on...take a look at my recent luxurious, yet inexpensive finds.
Awww...doesn't Buddha look happy? I thought this was too cute to pass up, not to mention I am partial to Eastern-influenced decor. Just look at that face! LOL.

Capiz Tray...This goes with the black and white decor of my bedroom, which I have decided to accent with yellow. It was perfect!

Tablescapes
One of my new obsessions is tablescapes...these are a few old ones I created, but I am always changing them up.
The first pic is a scape of my dresser top in my bedroom.

Vanity Areas
I love vanities...so enjoy this glamourization inspiration, from Turquoise.

...Now for some closeups of my vanity table...it's usually more organized--please pardon the vanity mayhem.

Artwork I've Purchased
The following are just some photos of original pieces of artwork I puchased that reflect my style and my love of color and my culture.
These helped fund a really good cause, the Zimbabwe Artists Project. For more info, visit http://www.zimbabweartistsproject.org/.

I found this one, done by an independent artist, at a Starbuck's near where I work. I had to have it!
The piece below is something that my hairstylist's mom painted. I purchased it from her and had it framed.
My friend Tiyadk did this. She is a fabulous artist; she also creates jewelry. Learn more about her at http://www.tiyadk.com/.
