I peeked into one of my favorite stores yesterday searching for more monogrammed mugs to display makeup brushes on my vanity, and I found this awesome cookware:

How could you not love it?! ...I see the yellow and black patterned set in my imminent future. Pardon the photos, taken with my trusty BlackBerry, but a girl's gotta work with what she's given to bring you what you love--more decor!

Lately, I've been obsessing over rearranging my bookcase.  On Sunday, I finally did a little somethin' somethin'. I was pleased...but some part of me still wants thise bookcase to be white (think the Billy from Ikea).  I just think it would make the accessories (and books) pop more, especially if I wallpapered the backs with a snazzy pattern. BUT...my dining room table...which I LOOOOOVE (as well as other key elements) are dark wood, and even though I'm all about taking risks (see black wall), I'm thinkin' that might look crazy. Thoughts?

Finally got around to rehanging this mirror on Saturday (it was a very productive weekend :-})...I was giddy with delight...seeing that it almost fell off the damn wall over a month ago. I used this mirror hanging kit from Target, and I wasn't planning on the wire showing, but it actually gave it an interesting little touch, so I let it be.

More from Home Goods...I LOVE the way this diffuses candlelight...pardon the half-painted electrical outlet...I got a wee bit carried away with my chalkboard painting project and have yet to remedy that little snafu.

Isn't this vase just the bee knee's? I couldn't leave it on the shelf.

Some would come to the conclusion that these horn accents are outdated, but I just do me! Love them! (Acquired on 2 separate excursions. :-})

The Halloween season is upon us, which means that bewitching decorations are in full effect around the house! I went completely insane at Home Goods--I don't know what got into me this year, but I felt so compelled to decorate for All Hallows' Eve. See what I've been up to...

Around the House~

Finally. A place I can store all my liqua! Well...most of it... (bar cart and silver cocktail tray (on bottom shelf) purchased at Ikea, mirror--Home Goods)

A little bit of dabbling in mantle rearrangement...yet again.

I had this idea to turn these cylindrical containers upside down and place an object underneath each--they double as display cases and mini-tabletops as you can see.

Around the House~

It's been a long time...(since I posted)...I shouldna left you...(and I really have no excuse)...however, I did have a fire at my house that blew about a fifth of my bathroom to smithereens, so look forward to an upcoming post on my newly redecorated powder room; I'm going for more of a spa feel this time around.

Gasp! Fire! This bathroom is now a work in progress...stay tuned.

New sheets from PB Teen. I'm a sucker for zebra print! Sadly, I still do not have a comforter/duvet because I'm still waiting on the company that took my clothes, bedding, etc. (to clean and de-smoke them) after the fire to return them...it's almost been a month. WOMP, WOMP!

My new ionic salt lamp from Home Goods...these aid in promoting positive health and well-being, and cleansing the air of pollutants; they also give any room a warm, serene ambience.

Yes, I have a green thumb. It's official. Though I did have to anchor this to the balcony railing to train it to grow upright because in the Winter, it comes to live inside the house with me...it was growing in various different directions. What you see above used to look like this.
